I don't mind Jacob, but my love for Edward is just too much. He was the reason I started reading it because my friend made Bella sound terrible. I love her now, but Edward will forever be in my heart =D

Basically im Team Switzerland.. but
if i did have to choose it would be Edward in a split second,
i love them both and i dont hate either

While I was reading Eclipse, I just could not comprehend how anyone liked Jake. Sure he was awesome in New Moon, but he just became annoying. I definitely did feel sorry for him in the end, but to me he will always be the best friend. He's not even in the same league as Edward.

i love your statement, i felt exactly the same way. during new moon i loved him for being there for bella to help her
through the hard times, but in eclipse i feel he was being a baby (not trying to upset anyone)

haha, it depends for me. Somedays I just want to read Twilight, and be all Team Edward. Other days, I'm like hmmmm...camping sounds nice right now, and then I'm all Team Jacob.

I don't know if I'm really Switz or not, considering I switch back and forth too much. Somedays I really hate one or the other.

oh edit: It also has a lot to do with how differently the two treat Bella. When I think of how overprotective Edward was, I get so angry! Sometimes I think Edward can't grasp what Bella really needs from him. Jacob is a completely different story - he's always about forcing Bella to see what she wants. With Edward, Bella wants to be independent, and he won't let her. With Jacob, Bella doesn't want to make decisions, and he makes her.

It's two seperate people making a whole person inside Bella.

Definitely Edward. I have nothing against Jacob, but he just can't compare to Edward. And, he flat out gets on my nerves about 80% of the time.

Most of the time, I just feel like his behavior is like when someone does something on The Real World, or the Bachelor or something and you just think " Wow.. when she sees how desperate pathetic she acted, she is going to be really embarassed" I feel like if Jake could watch himself he would be embarassed, LoL

I'm Team Swiss, but I tend to lean more towards Edward.
Don't get me wrong, I love Jake, just not as much as Edward.
And I probably would have liked Jake a lot better if he hadn't become so aggressive and annoying in Eclipse.
I love New Moon Jake but I love Edward more.

I've always thought I was 100% Edward, but a few months ago I started leaning towards Jacob. I think it was that moment when Bella realized she loved Jacob in Eclipse and saw the future she could have with him...it made me happy that Bella and Jacob could have lots of babies and Jacob could still protect her, plus I was going through a phase where I had this thing for Native American boys, so Jacob was perfect...haha.

But then I reread the series and realized how much Bella and Edward needed each other. It's not just that they wanted to be together, they needed each other to survive. Throughout New Moon, Bella could barely hold herself together after Edward left her...it was not something that would heal with time. Their relationship was so strong that it pained them to be apart, and that's why I know they can never be separated again.

So, in conclusion...TEAM EDWARD!

I really love them both.
I know that Edward is perfect for Bella.
But I personally love Jacob more. Not for Bella, but just in general.

Plus, ever since I've imagined Steven Strait as Jake. Oh man *swoons* I've been a HUGE Jake fan. haha

When I first read Twilight, I could not understand how anyone could be in love with Jake. First, he was 15, and he was only on like two pages in the entire book.
But after reading New Moon and Eclipse, I have to say, I love Jacob more. Sure he makes mistakes, but that's what makes him human. He does stupid things, and gets angry, but that is what makes him an actual character. He is loyal, perhaps not mature- but hey! he's not 100, he's 15,16,17-ish. Everyone is impatient then. Besides, his devotion and love for Bella is pure.
Edward is too perfect, too self-sacrificing. Plus, he's kind of an idiot. Sure, he does things for the right reasons, ie, leaving so Bella could forget him, but his execution sucks. He hurts Bella more than he helps her.
Besides, look at the premise for Bella and Edward's relationship: 1)Edward plans to kill Bella. 2) He stalks her and watches her sleep at night without her knowing O.O
Doesn't that seem odd to anyone?
Like, "Oh hey! I really want to drink all of your blood.... fancy a snog?"
Yeah.... great relationship material right there.
