anyone have a feeling this might be bigger then harry potter?

it's a definite possibility.
twilight is more relatable.especially for the people that dont want to read the books...there's now gonna be a movie.

yeah, i get what you're saying undiscovered. it seems like i come online and everyone here knows about twilight, but i never heard of it until i picked it up randomly at a bookstore. harry potter took over the world.

maybe AFTER the movie comes out it'll be bigger, but i don't think so before.

This is tough.
Harry Potter is easily for guys AND girls.

Twilight, while there are guys that read the books, MOST of the fanbase is girls.

Harry Potter is very difficult to compete with. The first five movies were some of the highest grossing ever. Plus people of all ages and genders read it so many of those people went to go see the movies. It has a very large and varied fanbase, and Twilight is large, but not so varied. I don't know many people other than young adult women/teenage girls who read twilight (except Twilight Moms and the occassional boy who admits it). I could be wrong though...I'm just saying that a person like my 50-year-old uncle would most likely read harry potter over twilight.

But, these are the movies, not the books, so it could be a totally different story. Who knows, maybe Twilight will surprise us and be the most successful movie on the face of the planet! (hopefully) And I really shouldn't underestimate the power of Twilight fans...I know I'll be seeing the movie at least more than once.

I don't think that it could be bigger than Harry Potter because, as it had been said, people do not know twilight all over the world. When the first movie of HP was released, everybody had heard about it. But I see that in France, nobody around me knows twilight

I don't think it will be bigger than Harry Potter but it will certainly give it a run for its money. Once the movie comes out it will be great advertising and I think we'll get an even bigger fan base.

I think that it will be big, just not as big as HP.

and you have to think, there are 7 harry potter books and only 3 (about to become 4) Twilight books. so i dont think Twilight will be as big as HP ever was or ever will be. but Twilight will be big enough
